CULTURAL AWARENESS TRAINING (From $750)

Our Cultural Awareness Training aims to increase understanding and appreciation of First Nations’ cultures, histories and contemporary realities by promoting respectful interactions and communication, especially in workplaces, agency, philanthropic and educational settings.

It is distinguished from the standard Cultural Immersion Tours by its “deeper dive” into truth-telling and the exploration of bespoke subject matter.

Cultural Awareness Training can be tailored to: –

  • Large and small organisations both at a senior management or workforce level
  • Enacting Reconciliation Action Plans and supporting organisational change
  • Reconciliation and NAIDOC weeks
  • Specific organisational or sectoral needs
(e.g. best practices in cultural engagement; embedding Indigenous curriculum perspectives in schools; investing effectively in Aboriginal community organisations; achieving First Nations’ procurement goals to maximise social impact, etc.)
  • Bespoke topics
(e.g. traditional uses of plants; reconciliation – where to now, post-Voice?; Treaty; decolonising allydom; contemporary Aboriginal voices in the Australian literary canon; what can be learnt from the oldest, living cultures on earth?; pan-Indigeneity; Indigenous values in relation to water; understanding intergenerational trauma; Indigenous ways of being, etc.).
