Join our men’s group
Willum Warrain operates a men’s group every Tuesday between 10.00am and 2.00pm with lunch supplied. We also meet several weekends a term. We always have a few laughs, a feed and share cultural knowledge with each other. It is an important space for Aboriginal men to come together in a spirit of friendship. We are always on the lookout for new fellas. Just ring up Neil Brew, our Aboriginal Men’s Cultural Program Officer – he would love to hear from you.
Our main current project is rebuilding our stone and timber Men’s hut in a new location, this time with an internal steel structure. We are looking forward to its completion as it is such a feature of our gathering place.
We also engage in a range of activities making traditional tools, weapons and artifacts (for example, spears, woomeras and shields) and go on excursions once a term.
