Join our Women’s Group

Willum Warrain runs a women’s group which meets every Thursday between 10am and 2pm during the school term.

The women’s group operates as a healing circle and a place for Aboriginal women to come together for friendship, yarning and cultural activities. Our group is strengths based and focuses on increasing cultural knowledge and community connections as a way of achieving healing for our mob.

Our group goes on an outing / excursion once a term and has guest speakers come share their journey with us.

Our recent projects have included establishing a women’s dance group, making emu feather skirts, building a shelter and replanting essential plants in our women’s area and continuing to master our weaving skills.

Contact our Cultural Lead – Women’s Business for more information about our women’s group or to yarn about our other programs. Transport support is available.
