CULTURAL IMMERSION TOURS (From $550)
Our Cultural Immersion Tours target school, community, agency and corporate groups wanting to immerse themselves in culture at an introductory level.
A standard Cultural Immersion tour may include: –
- The story of Willum Warrain and its importance to the local Aboriginal community
- A brief coverage of pre- and post-contact history
- Kinship, moiety, totems, the Dreaming
- Traditional material culture (possum skin cloaks, coolamons, woomeras, etc.)
- Touring our Koorie plant trail and Pun Puns (wetlands)
- Interactive activities including storytelling and dance
- A welcoming ceremony including a smoking and a water blessing
- Contemporary issues
- Promoting reconciliation.
